Good Luck.
I think that you will find that the Engine needs to be dropped in order to reach in / gain access to Cambelt and Water Pump.
My Cambelt and water pump was done July last year, and the garage moaned like hell, cause they had priced it cheap, and the actual job to fit new Timing belt kit and water pump took quite a few hours more than they'd quoted.
Might be an Idea to get the AUX Belt done at the same time, as water pump and timing belt kit.
Huh?
OOops!!! I stand corrected, it would seem that only the GTi is a real pain in the a**e to change Aux Belt, Timing belt kit and water pump.
