#1: Pressure Switches... Author: Scootymad, Location: NorfolkPosted: Wed Jun 22, 2011 11:11 am ---- I have a 1999 2.0 206 GTi.. What pressure switches does it have on the car?
Without having a look, I know one needs replacing.. but the fella I got the car from said it was the pressure switch on the Power Steering?
The reason I ask.. Is because I didnt know there was one!
Thanks

#3: Re: Pressure Switches... Author: Scootymad, Location: NorfolkPosted: Wed Jun 22, 2011 11:17 am ---- That would be the one! Is that an Oil Pressure Switch, or a Pressure Switch on the actual PAS line?
#4: Re: Pressure Switches... Author: macj, Location: EssexPosted: Wed Jun 22, 2011 11:18 am ---- Its on the P/S line in a hexagonal fitting in the metal pipe

I dont have one fitted because its pretty pointless really. How many times do you turn your steering from lock to lock whilst at idle.... unless you like flat-spotting tyres

#8: Re: Pressure Switches... Author: macj, Location: EssexPosted: Wed Jun 22, 2011 11:34 am ---- Yes.... but the blanking plug was a b*gger to find with the right thread

I took 2 oil hoses to pirtek and for them to cut my hoses and fit 2 new crimped fittings on the ends it cost me £55, to say there expensive is an understatement
