#1: Squeeky Boot - 180 Author: keeno, Location: Ramsgate, KentPosted: Sun Jun 26, 2011 9:23 am ---- The boot is starting to squeek all the time now, there is nothing loose, i have WD40ed the hinges ect when im driving around.
When the boot is closed and you push it slightly it squeeks also.
I have even taken the panel off the boot to see if its anything in there, but evrything is solid.

Use grease/oil rather than WD40

Try lubricating / adjusting the catch.

#13: Re: Squeeky Boot - 180 Author: BailedC30, Location: Beverley, East yorkshirePosted: Sun Jun 26, 2011 10:03 am ---- look at the piece of plastic that your boot actually latches onto. you can spin the piece of plastic and you will more than likely find a groove worn out of it. i just wrapped some electrical tape around it and it never did it again. lol

#15: Re: Squeeky Boot - 180 Author: MrrNoName, Location: UKPosted: Sun Jun 26, 2011 10:41 am ---- wrap some electrical tape around the boot catch bar, as said above, it works virtually every time, its a common problem with all cars where the boot is frequently used
