Repairing airbag / seat??

#1: Repairing airbag / seat?? Author: Jayde, Location: Brighton PostPosted: Mon Jun 27, 2011 9:37 am

(Not so much of a problem but didn't feel it fitted into interior styling / modification, but mods, please feel free to move if need be!!)

OK.
So, since having my 180 it's begun to irritate me more and more.

The guy I bought from admitted it was from laziness on his behalf, of just throwing himself into the car, and not really worrying too much about catching the edge of the seat. But through this wear and tear, it's caused the airbag to slightly tear / pull away from the leather / casing.
I'm annoyingly careful when getting in and out as I don't want to make it any worse, but don't really have any idea how to repair / fix the problem, especially as I don't want to do a bad job which would irritate me even more, as there's nothing worse than a poor job!!

Hoping the pictures will explain it better:

(Leather looks a little shabby as I haven't got round to giving it some tlc yet.. ooppss!!)

Yes..I am that fussy. New seat would be my last option if no way of solving.

Go & speak to a smart repairer / upholstery specialist / car trimmer.
