#1: Urgent help needed timing belt - inc photo Author: elcamino, Location: home!Posted: Sat Jul 02, 2011 4:02 am ---- Hi.im changing my 1.4 petrol 8v timing belt but i dont know how to align crankshaft.there is a hole on camshaft for alignment but dont know where is the correct timing position for crankshaft.pls help ASAP.thanks a lot.
This is a photo of crankshaft pulley.as u see there are two marks one on the crankshaft pulley and another on the engine skin.i think they should be aligned for correct timing.but when i removed the cover they were not aligned.should i crank the shaft to align these two marks?green arrow is the original position i marked when i removed the cover..thanks for any help.
