Mitch's Project - 206 HDi XSi
-> Project Cars

#1: Mitch's Project - 206 HDi XSi Author: Mitch, Location: Scotland PostPosted: Sat Mar 06, 2010 7:11 pm
    ----
Thought id make this, as my 206 has come on a wee bit since I got it.

Bought this in October for just over £5000 - A Moonstone Blue 2 Litre HDi XSi with 56000 miles and 2 previous lady owners.

Im very happy with the colour and shape, and it runs really well.

I then ordered my info sticker in white, and stuck it to the back window (Taken 5 Minutes Ago)

It stayed like this over the next 2 months until this happened :

Someone had come into my drive and slid on the ice and drove off! So over the next few weeks, I desperatley hunted high and low for the culprit.... which turned out to be a mate! He had been looking for a place to get it fixed.

I then turned to Brian and Graham, who recommended Ecosse. So a quick call to Greg and the insurance, and my car was booked in.

So, I then went up to get the estimate for the insurance company, and met Brian, who managed to get a hold of a Moonstone Blue spoiler, which Ecosse fitted for £20.

While the car was in, I bought some E-Marked Ultra LED Sidelights and Numberplate Bulbs

This is what it looks like now.

Hope you all like Smile

*UPDATE*

After buying a dvd head unit from Wullie (Wagsy), I decided to sell it on.

Im into my tunes, so want something a little bit special for my car.

Ive decided to get myself a PIONEER-MVH-8200BT Head unit

To power this, I also bought an Audison LRX 2.9 amp.

Over the next few weeks, ill be building an install for the boot.

Small and subtle but as you can see, will work well.

Ill be looking to upgrade my speakers too, wanted some rainbow components, but they dont come in Peugeot sizes!

*Update - 25th June 2010*

After getting bored of the SP gear knob, and the car looking a bit boring, I went to Peugeot to find myself a bargain... Crazy I know! But, Kenny behind the parts desk offered me a 207/307 (He didnt know) Gear Knob, for £15, brand new! These retail at just over £45. Was delighted. So, with a wee bit of bonding, and 48 hours waiting, its on and secure... The pictures dont do it justice.

Keep watching, updates still to come Very Happy

Twist towards the passenger side and pull, just dont lean over it as you might give yourself a black eye or a bloody nose lol

On the note of the gearknob, I took a hacksaw to my old one, as someone had tigersealed it on!

Thanks for the feedback guys!

Headunit will be going in as soon as I get the amp install finished! Very Happy

Just the tuning recommended from tdocuk.com. Im aiming for 150 BHP before it hits 100,000 miles.... but the car is used daily, so I may hold off.

Still need to come round for a shop in the whip Wullie.
