I got new lifters for my 2.0l. Not cheap. around 22quid for a pattern part or 17quid for trade price a pug(£26-28 if not IIRC) , if you can get trade at pug.

I paid £10 per lifter (gen ones) and paid about 180-200 for labour but I was very very lucky. You're looking at a job that'll cost anywhere from 400-600quid really.

I needed them doing because it was causing running problems. have you noticed the car rocking/virbrating from cold starts. Most noticable through the gear stick at 1000rpm when warming up?

If not it may just be the wrong oil being used causing them to be noisey. Wynn lifter treatment does quieten things down a far bit but didn't fix my issues. Search for some of my other posts for more details if needed.

The only rocking I get is clutch judder at 50mph. So you think it might just be wrong oil? Im definately going to get it serviced before I think about changing the lifters
