NOTICE TO ALL HDI OWNERS

I just found on mine that the engine wirring loom going to the ecu was rubbing on the top aux belt pully, this could of been very expensive if it had worn through, so be aware and check yours as soon as possible.

If it burnt through the loom? Pretty much deck the car. At best a replacement loom. At worst if it shorts new ECU etc

No it was my fault. It was the wires from the light cluster are really long and when I fiddled with the beam alignment, i forgot to tuck them back in.

NO we have only had the car for what about 8 months i think, so they could of done something before hand I dont know. but the loom looks as though it is in the right place, comes from the bulk head area, towards the front of the car via the cam belt end of the engine and then bends around towards the ecu.

I will take some pics when i get a chance and post them for you all.

im guessing yours is the 1.4 hdi? part of my looms falls quite close to the aux belt too but iv cable tied it up away from it

yes thats the one, is there susposed to be a cover for it?
