#1: Slight shaking when accelerating hard and broken horn... Author: TattooedMammy, Location: North WalesPosted: Wed Jul 06, 2011 3:02 pm ---- Drove it home on the motorway and accelerating hard from about 30 to 70 the csar seems to shake slightly but stops once speed is constant. The other thing is that the horn doesnt work though i have checked the fuse and doesnt seem to be that, what else could it be and is it something i could do myself?
thanks
Adie

also how do you remove a cigar lighter??

Author: TattooedMammy, Location: North WalesPosted: Thu Jul 07, 2011 2:06 am ---- At the risk of annoying you, please can you tell me how i can do as you suggest? Have ordered a Haynes Manual from Amazon but it wont be here for a couple of days but i would like to try and find out what it is, and how much it will cost to fix, esp as i have only just bought the car and not impressed that apart from the horn, the a/c and cigar lighter dont work either!!
Thanks

#6: Re: Slight shaking when accelerating hard and broken horn... Author: TattooedMammy, Location: North WalesPosted: Thu Jul 07, 2011 4:04 am ---- i got it from a private seller, i have contacted him this morning telling him of the faults and he claimed not to know of them. i can change cig lighter for <£10 but the air con is going to be minimum £50 Not sure where i stand with regards to returning the car/holding seller accountable for costs but i imagine i cant so i wanna know cheapest ways to fix them!!

Author: DJ-, Location: UKPosted: Thu Jul 07, 2011 4:10 am ---- did you not test drive it and see the faults? i dont think you can blame the seller on a private thing, i imagine its always "sold as seen" and up to the buyer to find issues etc. The seller is at no obligation to state problems even if he knew of them as far as im aware.
#8: Re: Slight shaking when accelerating hard and broken horn... Author: TattooedMammy, Location: North WalesPosted: Thu Jul 07, 2011 5:03 am ---- i test drove it round the block, not at 70 though i might add! didnt need to use the horn til the way home and someone nearly hit me on the roundabout.
Just want to know how to fix them really, not who to blame.
