I was going to paint those plastic strips that you can take off of the roof (go all the way to the bottom of the windscreen) but i was wondering will the car still be water tight over night, ( I am not stupid enough to think that it goes straight through to the interior of the car, but surely they have a purspose?)

i havent pulled them off yet so im not sure whats underneath or how tbh so any guidance is appreciated.

Thanks guys

You might need some pliers for the clips at the bottom of the windscreen though. Ive had to put screws in mine to hold em down after I wrapped them. But will be water tight Smile

I'm interested in this as well, would like to do mine gloss black. Is it a torx screw at the botton and then just pull up?

No its a plastic clip. just pull em with pliers, your most likely going to brake them because they are brittle, but a small screw works a treat Smile

They have some funny plastic clips on the bottom. Could't work out how to remove them so I just ragged them off. They are still perfectly secure

what sort of clips, standard trim clips or metal clips like on the foglight connectors or actually moulded plastic on the stripp itself?

its hard to explain, they are flat and round on the top and they push into a hole in the strip then into the metal underneath.
