#1: starts then stops , help please Author: tamz, Location: bathgate west lothian scotlandPosted: Sun Jul 10, 2011 4:18 am ---- hi can anyone help me , i went out yesterday to start the car and it just kept turning over so i called my breakdown by the time they came out i had it started so i drove about 3 miles then the car died , after about 10mins i managed to get it going again , left the car for 10hrs at work then the same again would not start. when the recovery came again the car started and he drove it on the wagon

Then with it not starting leads to an immobliser problem, its either the ring around the ignition barrel or the chip in the key

strange as it seems i just fitted a new battery and cleaned all the earth connections and it was fine after that

tried blowing the pipes back to the tank
check injecter rail pressure
