a have a 1.1 206 51 plate and would like to now how to check gear box oil level and also how much the gear box holds as a may drain/fill with new oil,

If you remove the battery and tray you will see a black plastic cap on top of the gearbox where you can put the oil in.
If you want to empty the oil fast and make a big mess pull the drive-shaft out However there is a better way of doing it.

not when you pour the oil in through the breather hole.
