Logic guys. How would an idle control valve effect the way the car drives? The clue is in its title. It's an IDLE control valve. It's only used at idle!

Like I said, if it has a problem when driving it's nothing to do with the idle control valve.

So now you've finished arguing about the "IDLE"..Im non the wiser!!!! Smile
Maybe I should try some plugs, and see how he goes from there???

you need to find out which cylinder is missfiring first and then work from there.

what coilpack and plug are you using?

randomly replacing parts is not a wise move.

Er, now your asking.....lol
Im of the female species and have no idea what so ever Im afraid...ive only had the car 2 months and its only done 37k
All I do know is that it is annoying me and I want to get it sorted before he decides he wants to pack up all together.....
Typical woman I hear you yell - well no im not, im into my cars and to be honest disappointed with this gti as its not fast enough...my astra coupe 2.2 was much more fun to drive
I need to make it feel good so i can drive with a smile
