#1: Tomd0801754 WIP Car #2 (Violet- GTi138 Track Car) Author: tomd0801754, Location: MoscowPosted: Thu Jul 14, 2011 2:28 pm ---- So Violet was bought for £480 on 12th July 2011. She is a GTi138, 73k and a came with a few little extras.
=-/
GT Bumpers all around, SP arches, Cobra Bucket seats, Pink/Purple Speedlines, lowered and no rear seats... A track car? No offence to Shell, who had to deal with my eagerness, but not a full track car in my eyes
So, I graduated yesterday, meaning no work got done. Then after a heavy night of eating and drinking I awoke and started work around Midday on the 14th July
First off was a trip to the scrapyard to sort out a few things.
First off a track car doesn't need a SP petrol cap.
Tinted rear windows:
Removal of front grill sticker:
Removal of Tow rear sticker:
Removal of Tow front sticker:
Then came the full strip down:
The pile gets bigger:
The inside gets emptier:
More to come tomorrow as my iPhone died so couldn't take anymore photos. Most of interior is now out.
A few decent plans to take effect soon Last edited by tomd0801754 on Tue Sep 27, 2011 12:30 pm; edited 2 times in total

There is nothing quite like driving your own car on an International Racing Circuit. Getting to grips with the tough technical corners, putting your foot down and getting the most out of your motoring...
Legally!!!! A full driving licence is essential and helmets are required (Helmets can be hired).
Croft Car Track Days are back in 2011. Although now much quieter and with less cars on track at any one time.
The minimum guaranteed track time is one and a half hours in sessions throughout the day.
A maximum of 10 cars on track per session allows for ample space to drive the 2.12 circuit.
Your vehicle must be a 'normal road going vehicle' i.e. no modifications, with a maximum exhaust noise level of 88dba static at 3/4 revs.
Fully qualified ARDS instructors will be on standby to assist, if required, throughout the day. However you can also exclusively hire an instructor for the day.
Please telephone the circuit to book an instructor.
The cost for the full day is £152.75 (incl VAT) and the additional driver cost is £25.00 (incl VAT).
