#1: misfiring (Only when hot) Author: gmcminn, Location: belfastPosted: Fri Jul 15, 2011 2:30 pm ---- hi folks really need help. Have a 2003 pug 206 1.4 petrol. It starts & runs perfect but temperature goes up to bout 95degrees. Also when idling hot the engine managment light flashes & bleeps and misfires badly.
If i turn car off & let cool down it resets itself & runs perfectly until hot again.
I have changed the 4x spark plugs, both temperature sensors (Blue & green plugs), also got 2nd hand coil pack off friend (which was working ok).
Have had it on the diagnostics & it just says misfiring.
Please help as i hate paying over the odds at garages.lol

Thought id try the simple stuff before trying injectors etc. But car running great until i idle at high temperature. U think idling control valve would cause it???
