#1: Project Vulpix Author: Icetto, Location: Cape TownPosted: Tue Jul 19, 2011 4:13 am ---- I should have done this in the 1st place. So here goes my project.
26 April 2010 is the day I went to collect my car. It was stock standard. I always wanted the blue 180 but couldn't find one until I found this red one. I never saw one in red before and it just looked so stunning that I had to choose the red one above the other 180s I test drove.
The day I went to collect my car:
I was very happy with the car. Drove it a month and on day 31 the clutch went. Day 32 I couldn't even get it in a gear. Luckily my warranty replaced the clutch within 3 days and the car was much better than before. Decided to drive the car for another month before I would start modifying.

I needed more response and noise so I went to Powerflow for my exhaust. De-cat with cat fooler, 57mm front box with 63mm back box. I chose tips that looked similar to the standard tail piece. I was a joy to drive now and that popping sound as I lift off the throttle is awesome.

I got the 180 because it was so unique but I wanted it to be even more unique so I decided to add some colour. I went to get my rims and brake calipers sprayed and the engine sprayed in unique colour combo I came up with.

#5: Re: Project Vulpix Author: Icetto, Location: Cape TownPosted: Tue Jul 19, 2011 4:16 am ---- Lighting it up for August 2010
I wanted white pulsating neon lights to go with my theme but couldn’t find any locally and importing them was gonna cost too much. Then I stumbled upon a small garage that sells strobe lights for your car. It’s something different and yet to see an other car in Cape Town with it.
Here are the videos for it (I only took these videos after I did some other mods):

Finally got my car (and myself) ready for 1/4mile drags on the track. I started off badly but after 3 runs I got used to it. Currently my best time at Street 2 Strip is 15.2 (21/01/2011) and at MSA it is 15.5 (09/07/2011). Soon I will be going around the track.

I got a small increase in power. Torque just seems to be climbing. The map is smoother and more fuel efficient. Can comfortably get under 10L/100km now.
