All the bends are crushed. What's that downstream lambda sensor doing? It's not sat in the exhaust pipe. Is it actually doing anything?

Schumi I don't know what the Janspeed looks like underneath the car. I've searched and asked but got no help.

Edward can you please help. What you mean by crushed bends and how that would be bad?

Is the lamda sensor you referring to also knowns as the cat fooler? If so then it's because I have a de-cat. If that cat fooler is not in place then I will get the pollution error and possible limp mode. Many GTi in Cape Town have had that when they did not install a cat fooler on their new exhaust.

So over this weekend I had my car set up for Killarney. Lowered the car another 5mm at the front and set it to max negative camber on the BC Coillovers.

I used to have some understeer. Now I have almost nothing. The end comes out at ease now if I want it to and I just control it by putting some throttle in it. Car steers the way you point it Smile

My left front speaker blew a few months ago and I've been wanting better sound quality for a while now.

This past Saturday I went and got Alpine SEX-1750S 6.5" split system and a proper fuse installed.

Clarity is so much better now and I can actually turn up the bass a bit as the appropriate amount of highs and mids will play with the bass.

Got some BP 98 octane petrol and went on the dyno. (We only have 93 and 95 at our commercial pumps in SA)

Looks similar to mine RR, what I don't understand why you have now less power than on the RR on the previous page. (143.6hp and 203nm) With 98 you could make more Nm's when changing the ignition earlyer, but the hp's goes down Confused

I have a different exhaust setup since that previous set up that made 143.6hp and 203Nm. That could have made a difference.

I prefer a good balance. I think the setup I have now is much better than previous one (although I know my current setup can be better). Sounds better as well and the 216Nm torque is nice for the occasional track day racing I do Smile

Got my black Zunsport Grille set and Cupra R splitter. I sprayed the splitter a darker shade of black before I got started.

All my products

 


Taking off the front bumper

 


Fitting the grilles. It took some time to align them up properly

 

 


Now for the splitter. I cut the following pieces off from the 2 clips in the middle. Cutting it off in this angle helps to align it properly as well. Measure it so that you will have 21mm left at the front part of the clip and 11mm left at the back part of the clip. Alternatively you can leave 21mm left in front and then go straight after you have cut halfway through the clip.

 


Then I screwed in some screws to keep the splitter sitting nice and tight. (Note that the way I screwed the screws in place that I don't need to keep the 1 screw on either side at the end of the bottom of the bumper. Those screws at the end were keeping the arch liners in place but now these new screws keep the splitter and arch liners in place)
