#1: List of problems with my 206 :( Author: kakaruto, Location: Mansfield NottinghamPosted: Wed Jul 20, 2011 12:08 pm ---- hello all i was wondering if any of you guys out there can help me diagnose the problem i have with my 206 and find a soloution to fixing it?
i bought my 206 Monday night and got it back home, when i went up to bolton to purchase the 206 i test drove it and it started fine and drove fine.
got it home around 10:45pm kicked her up while it was on flat bed to get her off and it started then cut out, started her up again and she kicked up and stayed on, then i noticed the alternator was squeeling. we reversed it off flat bed, parked it up on side street, then when i tried to kick her up again after being stood 10mins the battery was flat so i had to use my bros yaris to jump start her... took it for a spin around the block, then parked it up in my on my back yard, while manouvering the car around on my back yard i noticed smell of coolant, checked my temp gauge and it was in the red zone!
no sign of fan kicking in at all! thought it might of been the blue temp switch but when i took coolant cap off the coolant was scolding hot!.
kicked her up tuesday to show a mate of mine and she cuts out if you dont give it a bit of rev...
what could be the problem?

so we checked the wiring and relay and guess what! the wiring was corroded to fk! as well as the relays.
so mechanic had to go to scrappy to fetch a wiring loom and re do wiring :/ it works now and the cutting out was a duff battery lol
