Torsion bar lowered wrong

I was going to lower the bar myself but seen as I didn't have a spring compressor it needed to be done at a garage anyway. So I thought I would save myself the effort of unseizing the torsion bar myself and let a garage do it.

I found out after that they had done it via the spline method. How likely is it to cause problems?

I have read the how-to on lowering the other way but do not know how to adjust it with this method.

Try it the way my mate says to. Throw a few bags of cement in the boot to drop it to required height & then heat the bars/arms up with a blowtorch and then just throw a bucket of cold water over it Wink

Bucket of water and then you've got to kneel or lie in the puddle...Nice.

What do you mean by spline method.

Remove bars and rotate round 1 or two?

If they are done with a dummy shocker then it is the correct way to do it.

Otherwise take it back because you have been ripped off
