B14's are way overpriced. Anything from KW/Weitec/AP are supposed to be very good, the only ones I've tried out of those are KW's and I was very impressed.

Springs are measured by poundage, for example I have 425 fitted on the front of my car and 475 on the rear, fitting a lower poundage spring will give you a softer ride. It's how much is required to compress the spring by 1 inch.
So a 100lb spring will require 100lbs to compress it by an inch, a 400lb spring, will require, surprise surprise, 400lbs to compress it one inch! Hence why lower poundage springs are softer as they compress much easier.

this is true.
however a weak spring with a hard damper will give you a very stiff ride too.
