strange headlight problem...

This is a problem on my mums 206cc which she's considering selling so needs to be sorted because it's a real pain...

when driving along with the lights off (or just sidelights on) the dipped beam will come on of its own accord. This happens every couple of minutes, and to stop it we have to sort of tap/bash the end of the control stalk thing.

Its a really weird problem, but can anyone think why the lights would come on by themselves all the time and be turned off by knocking the end of the stalk lol!?

/strange one i know Rolling Eyes

spray some wd40 in the stalk connections and leave it to settle about, when i had a dodgy connection in a stalk i did that and it solved the problem. moisture had made them rust a little bit Smile
