#1: Can't understand why my battery has gone flat again :( Author: karimali831, Location: EnglandPosted: Fri Jul 22, 2011 2:08 pm ---- After returning to my car, I turned on the stereo then locked the doors and noticed the stereo turned off and on again. I though, Oh s**t... here we go again and *click click click* when I attempt to run the engine.
I have noticed it has occurred twice while using this 75w inverter to charge my laptop:
my second question is, when I charge the laptop via the inverter while engine is on, smoke starts to show up seconds later but I have had no problems charging it for an hour while engine was off... I was told I can use the inverter for charging laptops anyway...
any thoughts on this please?

#3: Re: Can't understand why my battery has gone flat again :( Author: karimali831, Location: EnglandPosted: Fri Jul 22, 2011 2:16 pm ---- does that mean peak power? I can only provide you the details from the link, that's all I know about it.
#4: Re: Can't understand why my battery has gone flat again :( Author: Lee, Location: EnglandPosted: Fri Jul 22, 2011 2:17 pm ---- You will have max/peak and then constant/rms
For example it might be 500 max, but only 150 rms

If the answer is I need a higher output watts inverter then it's fine.

#8: Re: Can't understand why my battery has gone flat again :( Author: karimali831, Location: EnglandPosted: Fri Jul 22, 2011 6:26 pm ---- I thought a battery could last up to 6 hours when engine is off!
I used/charged laptop 1-2 hours while engine was off... at least I know now.
Oopz!

It overheats too much when engine is on.
