Got my 206 GTi from north Wales. Travelling for 4 hours on a train then 5 hour drive back.
I also had food poisoning & hadn't slept in 2 days, probably the worst journey in my life.

Then last month I drove to Newcastle and back in a day to part exchange my Skoda for the BMW. 13 hours of driving, 700 miles.
But saved £1k on the market value of the car, as cars seem to be cheaper in the north of England.

Ive said it before its because up north they are still 10-20 years behind us southerners and the price of things reflects tht Smile

Furthest was about 100 miles I would happily go 200+ miles if it was a gaurenteed sale but I wouldn't travel more than a few miles to view one. Had a few where sellers just lie their asses off about the condition.

Cars up north get an easier life because they don't spend their days sitting in traffic jams.

And the beer is cheaper up north too, that's proper beer, non of the southern softy shandy drinking stuff Laughing

Furthest I've travelled is about 40 miles. Need innoculations to go past the Watford gap, so wouldn't go that far south

You got it all wrong...

the reason why cars are cheaper up north is because they have already been stolen and cloned about 10 times!
