#1: Bit late but.....(pic heavy) Author: drunknmunky, Location: Blackburn and CatterickPosted: Tue Jul 26, 2011 1:45 pm ---- So i have kept this under wraps for like months now ha but i kinda had a crash then been away working in london and only just got round to getting to fix the car only a few people that are on my facebook knew about this and well heres what has been keeping me entertained for the past few days i will let a few pictures do the talking
Before anyone says anything the crash involved only me and was due to my bad driving this thread is not here for you to comment on how i drive but purely to show you what i have been doing if you wanna talk to me bout my driving feel free to pm me thanks for looking
figured the calipers needed a lick of paint while i was at it and i have my eyes on some peugeot aidel alloys and my new stub axle pins is coming tomorrow so i can start rebuilding it
Lesson here dont crash your car!!!!

it has a very slight bend to it which im hoping i will get away with as i dont fancy changing it, im told it will track up and be fine
#15: Re: Bit late but.....(pic heavy) Author: cartoonhead, Location: North ManchesterPosted: Tue Jul 26, 2011 2:52 pm ---- there only £12.30 from Europarts and are easy to change
#16: Re: Bit late but.....(pic heavy) Author: drunknmunky, Location: Blackburn and CatterickPosted: Tue Jul 26, 2011 2:55 pm ---- how easy? and ill probably get it cheaper from my local place bbc everything is a bit cheaper than eurocarparts there
#17: Re: Bit late but.....(pic heavy) Author: cartoonhead, Location: North ManchesterPosted: Tue Jul 26, 2011 3:03 pm ---- put the steering to full lock right and the end sticks out just enought to get a set of stilsons on and you only need to crack it then it can be undone by hand.
once fitted i used a jubilee clip to hold the rubber gator back on the rack as cable ties didnt have the grip to hold it.
#18: Re: Bit late but.....(pic heavy) Author: Big_Rich180, Posted: Tue Jul 26, 2011 3:07 pm ---- I didnt realise you had done the front aswell, must have been a decent whack to bend the front arm like that lol

rich you know you love it it was a very heavy whack sideways on sliding in the wet
by the way do you like that stub axle pin that i got out thats probably the only thing that was broke on your rear so technically you paid £400 for that hahaha oh well

Sounds like you did pretty much the same as me except mine was just on the back, i managed to split the brake disc from the bit that attaches to the wheel

so your tellin me to change that piece all i gotta do is remove the jubilee clip from the gaitor and then crack it off which way? im not sure im quite getting it? and i cant really turn my steering fully to the right with the way its jacked up at the moment
i may change it after if i can get my head round what you mean do you mean it cracks off right at the end where the gaiter is? or behind the gaiter? caused at the top end it just spins i thought

no its not even bolted in its just hit through from the rear and the grooves and the fact that it is a tight fit and the hub and hub nut on it is what holds it in as far as i can tell

well long story short being a d**k going round a roundabout in the wet with esp off and it was sliding then wouldnt regrip and kick back in so just kept sliding tried to counter steer and it ended up the whole left hand side of the vehicle hitting the kerb on the outisde of the roundabout
and surprisingly enough the only thing that is bent is that pin gonna get my hub checked but it looks pretty straight and the trailing arm is fine
