#5: Re: Bulbs Author: Lee, Location: EnglandPosted: Wed Jul 27, 2011 5:23 pm ---- Still not allowed blue
white to the front red to the rear. You can have amber if they are direction indicators or side markers. You can have the white to the rear as long as it's a reversing or work light.
If you put blue side lghts in, you WILL fail the MOT, and you will probably be stopped, and possibly issued a fixed penalty and VDRS notice which will cost you the price of an MOT to get the sidelights checked for legality.
Is it really worth it?
For the rest just use ebay, but shop around. Some of the cheap Hong Kong SMD LED's last about 2 minutes.
I got my wiper blades from Mr Wiper on ebay. They do the job and were reasonably priced. ASDA and Tesco sometimes have offers on aeros.

I have them fitted on my dads car. The blue glass filters out the yellow light leaving a white light. They are available on ebay. Just search xenon 501 and you get the smd and standard glass bulbs listed. Last edited by macca1411 on Thu Jul 28, 2011 3:56 am; edited 1 time in total
