i have squeaky brakes that might sometimes even give a loud constant dull grinding noise when braking in the wet.

looked up service box to figure out the parts i need.

according to this diagram am i right to say my front discs are
Diameter: 266 mm
Thickness: 22 mm

so if im looking for front brembo max discs i should be looking at ???

this?

they have another variant
Diameter: 266 mm
Thickness: 20.5 mm
Min Thickness: 18.6 mm
this is not it eh?

Rear discs are pretty standard so
Diameter: 247 mm
Thickness: 8 mm

this one yes?

front pads i should be looking at

of course these are not DS2500 but im trying to get the fit right.

last question
ferodo's pads seem to come in a wide range
there are
FDS - ?
FDB - ?
FCP - DS2500

what are they?

apologies for the many pictures and questions. i know to many of y'all this is a no brainer but i just want to make sure. i can't get this setup over here and i DON'T wish to see myself sending it back to the UK just because i got some fittings wrong. hoping to get it done right first time Very Happy

thanks for reading

Check the disc's for bad scoring, but it sounds like you might just need pads.

if you type the chassie number into service box then you will know what disc you will need.

but that looks right to me though.

22mm disc with "square" ear brake pad.

I wouldn't bother with rear discs with grooves .. rear brakes do very little on a FWD car ..

those are just wear indicator

If you want bog standard brake parts, I can recommend www.buypartsby.co.uk ... Mintex pads and branded discs (our last ones were QH) ...

... not sure whether they ship to Oz though. Isn't there Pug/Citroen parts outlet over there, or some sort of motor factor/generic parts outlet? Pug and Citroen share a lot of the running gear like brakes ....

Shipping on heavy discs has to be worth hunting around first?

Have you looked at the pads and discs yet to make sure they are worn? Squeaky brakes is often a lack of copperslip between the back of the pads and the caliper pistons ...

i have checked and compared prices and even though im paying for freight it is still cheaper than if i bought them here, thats if i could even get it here.

so the question is, did i read the service box diagram correctly.

cheers

sounds right to me but please read other people's comment.

tell us the age of your car will make sure you got the right stuff; or the chassie number will do the same.

and don't forget to add import tax and handling fee for the custom as well.

Why not measure the discs on your car? It's always worth taking the wheel off the measure height of the disc, diameter and width. Sometimes the disc dimensions are stamped lightly on the hub part of th disc.
