#1: No power to headunit at all! Author: blakebrumby, Location: Doncaster, UKPosted: Sun Jul 31, 2011 8:00 am ---- Hi all,
I have a 2001 1.4lx (206) and the OEM head unit that came with the car isnt working (no power though it does illuminate with the dash funnily enough!).
I bought a Pioneer HU from eBay (which was sold as in perfect working order) and installed it yesterday using the supplied ISO adapter. Even after swapping the red and yellow wires, there is no power at all going to the head unit.
I've swapped the 15A radio fuse along with the cigarette lighter fuse as i noticed the last one had blown, though not sure what else could be wrong?
I know its possible that the new HU may also be fried though i haven't got another car to test it with just yet..
Has anyone heard of this kind of strange problem before? Ive trawled the forums though the main issue seems to only ever be the loss of memory in the HU rather than a complete loss of power
Cheers, Blake.

You should check the voltages from the memory wire and the ignition lead, memory lead is 12v, and ignition is 12v when turned into the first position and onwards. If memory recalls thick blue wire is the ignition lead and i think the memory is white, i can't remember 100% someone will have to confirm.

#7: Re: No power to headunit at all! Author: blakebrumby, Location: Doncaster, UKPosted: Sun Aug 07, 2011 10:31 am ---- Yeah im not too hot on electrics and wiring but the standard loom was ok after testing with a multimeter, so i bought a new ISO adapter along with a new pioneer to ISO harness and fitted those with good results.
It could have just been a faulty pioneer to ISO harness all along!
