Author: Edward, Location: In the garagePosted: Wed Aug 03, 2011 1:17 am ---- If it boils that fast it's either the thermostat that's not opening or the water pump that's failed. Unless you open the reservoir cap (which won't prove anything) the only way to know if it's boiling is if it blows the cap.

Update turns out the termostat for the cooling was broken so had that repaired. There was also a broken seal on the oil pipe so that's been replaced also. Power seems to be back where is was before so very pleased. On the downside I'm now having problems with the steering. We had the front tension rod bars replaced a couple of months back and I don't know if the new problem is related to that. There seems to be a lot of play in the steering wheel and the car seems to be all over the road. It gets worse the faster i go especially once your up in the cams. Don't get me wrong I can cope with it, however doesn't fill me with much confidence by way of safety.
Again apologies i'm not very technical please remember I am female of the species lol!

Sell it, buy a new one, well actually, should of done that ages ago before you spend that on it, you can get these for about £2000-4000, no longer hard to replace
