#1: Overheating when idle Author: LWhite92, Location: Chelmsford, EssexPosted: Tue Aug 02, 2011 6:31 am ---- Took my Sreg (1998) through a hand car wash the other day so was sat idle for around 20mins. Started off with temp gauge at 70'c and by the time i was finished 20mins later my gauge was waaay past 90 and my stop light had started to flash. Once i started driving again it quickly cooled back down to 70'c. Have also noticed that I never heard my fan come on and haven't done for months. Any ideas why it overheats so easily???

Take them out and clean and/or replace

The fans not working

If they aren't rotten I'd be very surprised. It should be a regular service item on all 206's now.
