Firstly check fuses if something isn't working, do you have an aftermarket hu or standard?

poss wrong rating fuse? check no.9 under the steering column, then check the 15a fuses in the fuse box in the engine bay too

If it's aftermarket take the stereo out and see if there are red and yellow cables in the iso loom, swap them around (chances are they will already cut with connectors).

As for the clock is it not turning on at all? what year is your clock and what type is the clock (e.g single line or multiple lines?)

Stars on here are for buying & selling between members Wink

Long term forum members like myself are just sick to the back teeth of the same repeat questions being asked week after week.

There is also an ICE faq on the forum which would have answered your question if you had bothered to look for & read it.

Its amazing what you can find if you look in the ICE section of the forum, it's the ICE FAQ that Ash posted up

www.206info.co.uk/Foru...art=0.html

What's even more amazing, your question has already been answered nearly 18 months ago.

Q: My radio is not saving settings or is turning off at high volumes, what is wrong?

A: You need to change the red and yellow wires around at the back of your head unit...

I agree with MrBSI on this one, it has been covered loads of times.
If you're going to start slating someones "trade rating" make sure you know what your talking about first. Trade rating is for buying and selling, not for how useful the advice is.
You could have put details of your car in the initial post which would save a lot of hassle. For alls we know you mght be talking about a Corsa or some Jap crap car.
You have been on the forum for less than a week, so you won't yet know who the people are that offer best advice. This bit of advice is free, learn quick otherwise you will be restricted on who helps you in the future, and when you do need the help, you will just get the people who guess at the answer.

After being on many different forums over my time, when someone 'new' to the forum is asking help or advise, then i and most other people help them.

They are 'new' so do not know the forum well i.e that there is a FAQ part, now that i do i wont be asking such 'annoying' questions.

I didnt make you read or reply to my question, just asked for abit of help.

Thankyou anyway

Not sure mate as i have never owned a 206 or seen the display on. The car its self is a 2000 reg GLX if that helps (not sure if they put different parts in different models)

oh and i have fixed the sterio problem thanks to the link sent by a rather moody forum member Wink

cheers
callum

2000 GLX, if your lucky it will be a simple fix with the soldering iron for the known fault of the display backlights stopped working.

If the screen is totally dead then its replacement time.

These PPT30 displays are total rubbish & they always break, working ones are like gold dust 2nd hand Laughing
