Recently my clutch has started slipping and is fairly noticeable in 3,4 and 5 but not too bad in lower gears. I was just wondering will this mean I will need to replace the whole clutch or could it just be the cable?
Any help will be appreciated

Just seems weird though how had it done bout a month ago n only just started doin it , could just be a coincedence but if I can't repair it without replacing the clutch then might have to spend a bit more and get an uprated one so it don't go again.
Does anyone know the best place to get an uprated clutch for my 2000 206 2.0 hdi at the cheapest price possible as I haven't got much to get it sorted ?(18 on an apprenticeship wage so not much spare after insurance)

The clutch is made up of 3 main parts- bearing- drive plate (the bit with the friction material on) and clutch (all metal cover and pressure plate, the heavy bit of the 3) The cause of slipping is normally wear on the drive plate friction material. I can remove and replace the friction material for the LuK clutches.
the only problem with that is i cannot gaurentee it will work as you could have wear in the clutch as well.
Does anyone know the correct peugeot part number for this car (for the 3 components)

horsepower don't kill clutch.
torque does.
and btw, 2.0HDi don't have clutch cable.

Dince it's remapped am I best off getting another standard clutch or paying a bit extra for a heavy duty one. And does anyone know the sort of prices I will be looking at for both?

you need to replace it
there is no need to fit a new flywheel unless the original one is warped
