I need to replace this, What are the requirements apart from being multiplexed like mine?

Also where is the part number located? Is it one of the numbers on the sticker?

Finally is £30 sounds like a good price yes?

Make sure you get one from a car that has front fog lights fitted Wink

Are you STILL trying to fix this? Shocked

taking the p**s haha. But really, does it just need to be plexed?

Indeed I am. I have spoken to more mechanics than I can count and even had 2 electricians look at it. When I told him things still worked when the fuses were out he just laughed at me =/

The other guy said most of the problems are probably linked and said it could be one of the main (and most expensive) electrical system could be broken (BSI, ECU, comms etc) until I said I had replaced them all. He then found a wiring diagram for the electric windows and for the central locking; both those two the faults pointed to that. We took the box out and checked the big fuses underneath which I was not aware of. They were fine. However the locking and windows started working after so it got to be that in some way.

Yes & also the correct type.

there's 2 x BM34 units for multiplexed 206's.

1 unit for NON front foglight cars & the other FOR front fog light cars.

Ah right thanks for that. I will find out if the one I am looking at is from a car with fogs. This SHOULD be the end of the story :D.

Well I wont because there is nothing better in my opinion that I can afford to insure currently. Plus I won't sell until I have finished it. Although I was going to get an XS a while ago as it was cheap but I missed out.

@MrBSI-Where have you been hiding this information when I faced the foglights problem Razz :D..LOL

@Rob-It's a very easy job to do,make sure that your battery is disconnected, and do the "Safe reboot" tips which you can find in here, make sure that the fuse box came from a car which support the options as centeral locking, windows, and foglights, unplug the old one,and replace it with the new one,and reconnect the plugs, and reconnect the battery as the safe reboot tips, and you will be done :D,Good Luck

Thanks for that. I have already had it out but I wanted to make sure I was getting the right one. I always thought it was the BSI that held all those options? As they can be enabled on the BSI with Peugeot planet etc.

Front fog lights dont work if there's no fuse holder for them in the BM34 unit under the bonnet Wink

BSI can command the front fog lights ON all it likes but if there's no fuse / fuse holder in the BM34 they aint gonna light up.
