#1: Boot seized or locked shut and cant open Author: Simmo, Location: YorkPosted: Mon Aug 15, 2011 11:57 am ---- My boot has recently seized shut, locked shut or even jammed shut some how? Has anyone else had the same problem and how can I solve it? My car is a 1.1 style 2001

You need to unclip the plastic trim panel on the inside of the tailgate to get at the lock & handle assembly / open the boot.

As above and soak it with silicone-grease spray once open.
