50 litre tank.

563 ml per pint.

8 pints per gallon

=

13.2 gallons

See I am useful. Unban me.

There is 568ml in a pint not 563ml. Also 50l equals just shy of 11g.

Not that useful after all.

Wow everyone picking up on little mathematics failures. How pedantic...

Luke, refer to previous posts. I was looking at US gallons.

Well not really, I get roughly 300miles from a full tank, until the petrol light goes on, I try to make a habit of going straight to a pump when it comes on, so possibly I get a little more? Even so, it is quite low..

quite low? thats awful for a 1.4 bud. you need to look into it, tyres? tracking? how you driving it?

The tyres are new, done just over 3k mileage, tracking should all be fine too, I do have my moments for putting my foot down, but if I drive sensibly I get 50-ish miles from a tenner

I topped my 1.4 and worked out I was getting 45mpg, round country lanes and dual carriageway at about 60-65 mph. I dont thrash mine so quite happy with the economy.

All of my driving is around the town, I've never any need to go on motorways, and rarely on dual-carriageways, which could compensate towards the low MPG I guess, but not sure as to how much!

It still shouldn't be that much. Have you serviced your car recently fully?

It was fully serviced in feb this year, done 3.5kmileage since then. The car is being sold in November so I refuse to pour anymore money into it, with lacquer peeling on the rear bumper, and a dent in the rear drivers quarter, i'll be lucky to fetch £500

You even stated in your first post that 8 pints equals a gallon. That would be an imperial gallon unless I'm mistaken?

Pedantic is rich from you. Especially after clsiming how useful you are with wrong figures.

The 206 fuel tank is just under 11 gallons.

27.2 mpg is p**s poor for a TU3 206.

Mine does 33.5 average mpg according to the trip computer & I dont exactly hang about & thats with climate control on all the time as well Laughing

Luke, last time I checked the OP had a problem Wink at least I'm making the effort to help him even if my maths / looking at the wrong gallon was incorrect. Now please stfu and act how you want the other members to act rather than trying to belittle and make a show. Hey, if you want to act like a child then I'll gladly talk to you like one, so do the thread a favour, do something useful and go comb your barbie doll's hair or something.

Brimbo, from the sounds of it there's no need to force any more money into it. Next time you fill to the brim (I know it's hard as I have a 1.4 too.. To get anything out of it you need a lead right foot!) try driving it as economical as possible, changing gears in plenty of time etc. Then you'll have a more accurate representation of your MPG figures.

What modifications do you have, if any?

I have no modifications performance wise, to be honest the car is a **** heap and I can't wait to get rid of it, spent just over £1100 keeping it on the road since Feb.
