It should be able to withstand it. Its a suction mount from eBay that I've taken to bits, and then some hollow black aluminium from B&Q with some U Bolts and a couple of nuts. Bolted to the seat so should be ok.
The old camcorder cut out mid session mate, will see what I can retrieve (if anything) and post it up. That second session was the best of the two, gave the tyres a good scrubbing and the oil a good heat up (147*c ). Oil cooler next methinks
#272: Re: Ape's SEAT Leon Cupra R 225 *New Recording Equipment!* Author: Ape, Location: Clipping the Apex!Posted: Wed Sep 22, 2010 7:34 am ---- I've made another camera mount for the HD Camcorder now. Looks a little like a strut brace across the back of the car (bad times), but doesn't vibrate or wobble as much as my first attempt (good times). Bit more refining and it should be good to get some decent footage
Current wishlist is:
Aluminium sheet for underneath the car (aerodyamics / cooling)
Wavetrac ATB differential and Gearbox refurb
Rollcage (size tbc)
Polycarb windows
Battery relocation
Recaro Pole-Position seats (or similar)
Finish stripping interior
Fuel prices to come down 7mpg on track is fun, but means I run out of fuel too quickly!!

Love the wheels on it. Knew they would suit it from the photoshop.
You doing any more styling changes to it, or is all performance from here on in?
I'd like to do a Red, Silver and Carbon Theme. The "S" Badges will be done in red, a carbon splitter, red engine hoses (Forge or Samco) and carbon dressy bits. But thats a long way off, I want the performance first, the tarting up is the last phase
Oh, I almost forgot - I'll be getting a Liquid Gauge for it too, shows Oil Temp, Oil Pressure, Boost, G Force, Fault codes etc, fits in the air vent and has full diagnostics etc. Fits neatly in the Drivers side Air Vent:
Cheers for the comments all, the wheels are fantastic lol. A real Marmite Modification
where are you getting the guage from mate
#276: Re: Ape's SEAT Leon Cupra R 225 *New Recording Equipment!* Author: Ape, Location: Clipping the Apex!Posted: Sun Sep 26, 2010 4:57 am ---- I bought the gauge from eBay, they won't fit 206's. They use VAG COM which is VW/Audi/SEAT specific.

#280: Re: Ape's SEAT Leon Cupra R 225 *New Recording Equipment!* Author: Ape, Location: Clipping the Apex!Posted: Fri Oct 22, 2010 3:12 pm ---- The plate's a 3/4 size on the front
I do remember the civic although I didn't rag it past, too much traffic and no real need to rag it, rarely take it over 4000rpm as there's no need to
#281: Re: Ape's SEAT Leon Cupra R 225 *New Recording Equipment!* Author: Ape, Location: Clipping the Apex!Posted: Fri Nov 19, 2010 1:07 pm ---- This is the plan for 2011. A Wrap and some other bits and pieces. Then use it at many more track days, do the Modball Rally and generally get as much use from it as possible.
#282: Re: Ape's SEAT Leon Cupra R 225 *New Theme 2011* Author: Mikey2uk, Location: StevenagePosted: Fri Nov 19, 2010 1:27 pm ---- Nice thats going to look very smart. Will you be changing the wheel colour aswell?
#283: Re: Ape's SEAT Leon Cupra R 225 *New Theme 2011* Author: Ape, Location: Clipping the Apex!Posted: Fri Nov 19, 2010 1:30 pm ---- I'm unsure at the moment. I might do, but I'm unsure to what. Back to Silver, Yellow, Black or keep them red.
#284: Re: Ape's SEAT Leon Cupra R 225 *New Theme 2011* Author: Edward, Location: In the garagePosted: Fri Nov 19, 2010 1:32 pm ---- Is this a track car? Then is such decoration really needed?
#285: Re: Ape's SEAT Leon Cupra R 225 *New Theme 2011* Author: Ape, Location: Clipping the Apex!Posted: Fri Nov 19, 2010 1:35 pm ---- In a way yes, it's cheaper than a respray. And doing the Modball Rally warrant's some silly graphics and such as you get sponsors and whatnot for the trip.
