did folding mirrors come as standard on the gt/gti ?

I think its only on the gti 180, but im not 100% sure.

yep left/right..and an arrow at the bottom..my left mirror aint working right...its clicking/ticking when i try to fold it in..but aint moving...

tried to open it up and investigate but could`not see much

is it time for a new mirror...or is there a fix for this ?

I take it you have a GT and not a GTi then..

With fixing it, I've no idea to be honest. Sounds like a broken motor and even a whole used folding mirror for 206's these arn't cheap

Will be the normal folding motor full of rust issue.

Pack the folding motor housing with Vaseline on reassembly to keep the rust away in the future. Wink

Ive stripped them apart completely, they are quite crap tbh

Motors clog with rust so easily

once cleaned out/greased are they ok or still get trouble with them ?

Nope, thats the pivot point, the folding motor is inside the mirror, once inside you will need to drill the 4 rivets out carefully to take it apart.

There a pain to strip down & rebuild Laughing

a pain lol..i was lost soon as i started it lol

screws do the trick to replace rivets or rivets again ?

Rivets are of a specalist type & I couldnt find anyone that sells them Sad

Counter sunk self tapping screws of the correct length work just as well & are what I used.
