Afew thing I need help on;

1. What is the Bore Size of a 1.4 8v exhuast, looing to just put a cheap Universal Back Box on and need Bore size :/

2. Iv brought an aftermarket Bonnet Vent, but having trouble getting the old 1 off. The pins holding it in are that stiff its breaking away, 1 has snaaped Sad

The help i need with this is the easiest way to get em out without snapping em, and how to get the b***hard out that has snapped??

Thanks, Ash.

Not sure about the bore size, sorry. For the vent I used a small flat head to prise the middle of the mushroom clip out, then used needle nose pliers to pull it out. I saw someone say ram a flat head through them if there stuck, not sure if it works though

screwdriver undeneath the lip and pull, normally works. If they break, its only cause they're old. Solution - Go to Peugeot and buy some more, only a few pence I imagine, then cause they're new, it shouldn't happen again Smile

I've heard of forks being used to lever up the center pin, one tine each side of the stem - personally I use a thin knife coming in from the side, pushing the edge in between the base part and the head of the center piece, twist a bit to force the pin up a bit. Move knife to other side and twist there, repeat until you can grab the center piece with fingers or a pair of pliers/pincers and pull out. Then the same procedure for the bigger, expanding, piece if it didn't come out along with the center piece.

If you've already snapped of the head or stem of the first piece then I think the best bet is to use a nail/punch or something like that to push the remaining piece through (IIRC the outer/bigger piece's center hole goes all the way through. If I'm wrong in that then it's either careful use of a drill bit of suitable diameter to drill out the remaining stem - or applying knife/pincers/pliers with more force and destroy the rivet completely).
New ones shouldn't be very much from Peugeot.

Just a note on the exhaust, if you are planning on fitting a universal backbox even with the correct bore size it still won't fit well / at all will need welding best bet is to get a straight fit one to be honest. You probably already know this but just saying incase you don't.
