Hi,

On 206gti.net/throttle-cable/ it shows you how to adjust the throttle cable to make the throttle a bit more responsive.

Has anyone got a automatic 206 like me? If you have could you please tell me how many notches you have sticking out on the accelerator cable (has a silver clip) near the Idle control valve.

The link shows pictures of where the accelerator cable is located.

I would really appreciate it if you could let me know also what rev does your 206 automatic idle at in park gear and drive please.

Thank you.

On my Gti I think it was 12 notches above the clip

Rather than "number of notches" which will depend on car and cable stretch then the adjuster is just to take up excess slack, so once you have very little slack in the cable, just enough slack so it's not operating the throttle at idle, then that's where to clamp it

you can't do it that way.....

you would either end up with too tight (throttle open too much when idle) or too loosen (throttle only open when excess pedal travel apply)
