#1: Megan(e) Fox The R26 Author: kingdom200, Location: Leamington Spa PostPosted: Mon Aug 29, 2011 10:10 am

Right so its no peugeot but as this is my favourite forum and being a member for a while i would be rude not to stick around.

so this is my project thread, as its SUTCH!!! a great car to start with the mods will probs be slow

So after going to view 3 Liquid yellow R26's and them all looking a little worse for ware i decided i was going to take a trip down to wales to go see what i thought would be a minter! turned out to be crap, so i decided i was going to look at a white one on the way home, offft int the flesh the white looked ace!! and in fact i preferred it so much more, however this particular one was all a little dodgy and the guy seemed very strange so after leaving my 5th viewing i decided i'm going to pay slightly over budget and find something in better condition, when i stumbled upon my beautiful girl which was 10 miles from my house despite travelling over 150 miles to view the previous 2.

so hear she is My R26 that has been named by a few Friends Megan(e) Fox due to her cracking a**e

Future Plans (it wont stay standard for long) in order-ish

- Dump valve (in the post)
- 6000k HID's
- Decat
- Gloss black roof
- R26R spoiler
- Stage 1 Remap
- Double din head unit
- uprated door speakers
- forge front mount
- forge actuator
- then anything else needed for Stage 2

Its going to be work in progress but i will try to update the project as soon as i do anything and keep pictures flowing regularly.

And no im not coppying the missus i told her to do everything on the fiesta Razz

Yes, from Renault. I have had to give the body work a bit of TLC as it had a few stone chips and swirl marks but apart from that love it. I just can’t stop driving it! Very Happy

Wasnt really hard tbh, just a lil tricky,

There is a slight part on the Diamond which you wont be able to get with a single sheet of CF wrap so there will be a tiny bit of chrome showing, Its sorta hidden and no one has seen it till i pointed it out to them

Got home from holiday yesterday too a few nice presents, you all know what they are but pictures = proof Very Happy

6000k HIDS

Miltek Decat ( i didnt know what to buy but a lot seem to have this so i can only assume its good)

just need to get them fitted next weekend however i did manage to fit something today

can you tell?

yup i couldn't help my self, good old Megane sport stickers

Dump valve should be hear in the next few days and will also be fitted at the weekend, i also took a trip down to the body repair people that did the MRS fiesta and they have quoted me £250 to have the roof done, i'm very tempted to have it done but they also offered to do my Wheels, roof and all the grey plastics on the front and rear of the car for £500 which is not bad seen as the wheels need a good going over but i may wait until after the nasty winter weather before i do the wheels and im in two minds about the plastics :-S

#28: Re: Megan(e) Fox The R26 Author: kingdom200, Location: Leamington Spa PostPosted: Sat Sep 17, 2011 2:26 pm

So today the dump valve arrived :-D, bit of a fiddley to fit and rubbed all the tan from holiday off my hands Sad but it sounds amazing and the Red looks really nice under there i think

open:

all tucked away:

just need a few more hoses under there now like the induction pipe and boost pipe then the engine bay can be left for a while Very Happy

now for the HID's first thing, the bumper is a pain in the a**e to get off, the 3 screws under the bottom just spin and don't undo but i soon solved that. Razz

the ballasts tucked away really nice and i think it was a bloody neat job cutting the hole in the headlight cover and stuff

half and half

all fitted and back together

then as i thought i was done, the missus dad had some carbon wrap left so out we went and experimented, its very hard stuff to work with and with the door open its not perfect but door shut its a good as Very Happy few more bits going to get done now, was going to do the badge but didn't seem to want to pull off like the clio ones

so yeh decat getting fitted tomorrow Very Happy the cars really coming....il get some night pics of the lights tonight Very Happy

With the decat you should hear the noise more I'd have thought, when I de catted my last turbo could hear the turbo spool a lot louder, maybe the louder note of the exhaust drones out the spool maybe

if you can try to get the 230 meggy as with the lSD and all the other tweaks it makes them two completely different cars

yeh defo R26 for the win leave the 225's alone lol...... as for noise, yeh its louder and you can hear the turbo spool up quicker and it dumps its tits off, but i have lost the jet sound Sad lol hopefully a good map will sort that out

you wont get that jet noise back with the map unfortunatly Sad

my mate has one of these mapped with all the boxes out bar the cat and it's like a machines gun but still no jet noise
