#1: clutch problem solved! Author: kieron, Location: in the housePosted: Wed Aug 31, 2011 12:27 pm ---- Right ive only had the car a few days and the clutch had a major judder and first thing i did was buy a new kit, anyway to cut a long story short it had a new clutch fitted 10 months ago and has only coverd 3k since it was done
i was going to do the job myself but didnt fancy it after all it was a bigish job on a driveway
so got a new clutch kit trade and got a garage to fit it for me at the cost of £150 quid
got a phone call at midday today saying the the clutch relese bearing has shatterd inside causing it to ware a big hole in the shaft on the gearbox but the part with the seal was only £16 so well happy now and she lives for another day here is the pics
If anyone need anywork doing he charges a good rate at only £35 p/h he also will do any other job such as torsion bars, welding and even remapping

Was there any metallic clattery type noises with your shattered bearing when accelerating in gear?
