the button is to turn off the interior sensors.

press it down for 2-3 seconds and watch for the red light on the hazard light button, when the light is on your sensors are turned off and when you now lock the car with the fob you could leave the window open but the doors are still alarmed.

if you dont press the button and put your window down arm the alarm and give it a minute or 2 and then go to open window and see if your alarm goes off.

It's the ejector seat button, just make sure you don't press it whilst sat in the passenger seat.

Just recently bought a 206 Gti, and has a few issues with it...

One of the issues was the rear boot latch was completely bent and broken so the boot would not lock...

I took this out and replaced with one i managed to forage off of another 206 Gti..

Cut a long story short, when i used to deadlock the car it made a sweet beep to show the alarm was set....but since taking the broken latch out and replacing it, it only deadlocks..no sound whatsoever..

There is a wire that connects to it so assumed this was for the alarm to register the boot was closed..could it be a faulty switch in the latch I have replaced?

The standard Peugeot factory alarm system SHOULDNT make a noise when you deadlock the car / arm it.

If it beeps on arming the system then either the boot / bonnet or a door isnt shut correctly Wink

Your alarm system is now arming correctly as its not beeping.

Yeah just tried it with the bonnet not secured properly and beeped...but no such luck with the boot open...

many thanks for your prompt reply...

Got a few things more to iron out with this car...will be a while before she is how I want her.

Check the switch in the latch is working correctly, brown connector plug nice & secure?

Try the plug disconected & see if it beeps?

Then short the 2 connectors out on the plug & try again - any change?
