Hi,

I have a slight issue, i broke my gear linkage yesterday...now i have found the replacement part no problem, but i have the issue of fitting it. My partner can fit it but because of the GT kit and it being lowered, we r kinda a bit puzzled on what to use to jack the car up high enough and safe enough. Using 2 jacks on the opposite jack points wont be high enough would they?

Or isit the good old blocks of wood come out? lol

Please Help!!!

drive the car onto something to raise it up high enough to get a jack under. then put it on axle stands, wouldnt trust going under the car with just a jack unless its a good jack.

you can get 2 ton axle stands from Halfords for £19.99

if the car is lowered you can use the winding jack that came with the car to lift it up while you get a trolly jack under.

if you look undernith the car at the back of the front wheels you can see the end of the bolt sticking / pointing down thats for the wishbone , thats where i use for jacking the front end up.

Take the battery and tray out and you can get to it from the top Smile
