I love my HDI its wicked. Yes the engine isn't quite as refined as a petrol thats a fair enough comment but tbh when your averaging 50+ mpg with enough power for the roads we drive on today and the durability of the engine, (regularly serviced) IMHO I don't think there a bad car at all. Cheapish road tax after 2001 and insurance group isn't too high either. I do suggest getting a remap tho because the power difference is quite substantial and the economy doesn't suffer for it, maybe even improves a little.

There great Very Happy although moving to my more modern diesel the so called diesel sound.. sounds very nice!! Very Happy Cheap to run, little problems.
