#1: What to do next? Author: danhodson, Location: Derby, UKPosted: Wed Mar 10, 2010 9:15 am ---- feeling a bit ill and sick of being sat indoors so figured I'd take a drive to aston hall and shoot some photos of my Roland Garros. Proud of her, shes great fun to drive, and I'd like to think a head tuner for anyone bothered about 206's anyway.

I'm pretty fluent with photoshop myself, but I want to keep it looking 'OEM' I dont mind adding peugeot parts, and I could cope with lowering, its just I'm a bit dubious due to the financial aspect of getting the kit then needing to sort camber/tracking etc. because if I don't I'll munch through tyres.
#12: Re: What to do next? Author: Goldin, Location: Pula , CroatiaPosted: Fri Mar 12, 2010 3:01 am ---- It looks very nice...next...maybe lowering for about -30mm,and sports bumpers, what do you think?
Keep it OEM,badgeless grill will ruin that pretty car
#13: Re: What to do next? Author: Golfguy206, Location: PeterboroughPosted: Fri Mar 12, 2010 3:48 am ---- Nice car, shame about the colour!!

Green is my favourite colour so I'm not too fussed.Dont suppose anyone knows how to use the peugeot parts catalog? Ive notice on the passenger front there is a white 'decal' or racing line above the bump strip on the door. but not on any of the other doors, just wondered if its a part they maybe stock?
#18: Re: What to do next? Author: Golfguy206, Location: PeterboroughPosted: Sat Mar 13, 2010 5:53 pm ---- for the people who dont thing my response was constructive, it was JUST m opinion. Was not intended to be mean or hurtfull.
I just dont like the colour, however HE DOES!!!
As I said, its an exclusive Garros. You dont get that level of kit on ANY other 206!!!
If it came in a different colour then I would DEFO have one!!

Its cool mate, I knew what you meant, I think its a case of the mind set of people when reading these things. Love the luxuriousness of the garros. I came from a '96 Corsa so its a big step up. Just strange it had 306 alloys on when I bought it. Love it with the nimrods on!
#20: Re: What to do next? Author: Golfguy206, Location: PeterboroughPosted: Sat Mar 13, 2010 6:11 pm ---- Thank you for that. Its nice to hear some people are not so critical all the time!!!
#21: Re: What to do next? Author: Ross, Location: West MidlandsPosted: Sat Mar 13, 2010 6:44 pm ---- Without a doubt - lower it. Will look so much better and more 'purposeful' if you know what I mean. You can do other aesthetic mods but it'll always still look like it needs lowering, so anything else can wait, lowering should be the number one priority.... IMO of course.
I don't know if I'm imagining this but I can't recall seeing a lowered Roland Garros model on here, or anywhere for that matter?!
Get it done, then get your camber checked out by a garage
#22: Re: What to do next? Author: danhodson, Location: Derby, UKPosted: Sat Mar 13, 2010 6:46 pm ---- How much am I looking at in total to lower it? I dont want to deck it to a stupid amount,30 -35mm?
#23: Re: What to do next? Author: Brian, Location: VVT Land, FifePosted: Sat Mar 13, 2010 6:52 pm ---- budget £80 for springs and £200 to fit springs and lower the rear torsion bar. Some places can even supply and fit for around £200 though. Just depends. But that's what i'd say to yourself in your head anyway.
That's the cheapest option, it's really recommended that you uprate your dampers when you lower it too. Again these vary dramatically in price. So if you were going down this route you'd be best to search online for the best deals on good brands etc You should try and replace the strut top mounts at the same time, or AT LEAST the strut top mount bearing
#24: Re: What to do next? Author: danhodson, Location: Derby, UKPosted: Sat Mar 13, 2010 6:59 pm ---- Okay Cheers Brian, I've heard people skimping on the fundementals when lowering which ends up wearing out parts that would be else fine.
£200 eh? okay, something to think about for the future.
did a little Photoshop to show it dropped. Looks pretty tasty.
#25: Re: What to do next? Author: Iain, Location: Aberdeen, ScotlandPosted: Sat Mar 13, 2010 7:07 pm ---- Maybe have a look at GazRG's car. His is lookin good, think he's got a lowered RG on nimrods, I maybe be wrong though...

Yeah always keep an eye on gaz's thread, spoke with him before. I wish I had to time/space and know how, I'd do a lot more things e.g sports bumpers etc. still need to get my hands on a phase 2 strip, that'll need painting as multiplex (phase2) RG don't exist?

Is the line only on the passanger door? If its the line I think you are talking about it should run along all 4 doors... I could be wrong and talking random haha
#28: Re: What to do next? Author: JordGJ, Location: Leeds / West MidlandsPosted: Wed Jun 09, 2010 3:48 pm ---- Ross is right 100% lower it before anything else! The photoshop you did looks 10x better...
#29: Re: What to do next? Author: Danw_VVT, Location: Herts/LondonPosted: Thu Jun 10, 2010 1:55 am ---- if you buy the springs then krisB will put them on and adjust torsion bar for £80 iirc!
its what im doing with mine saves a fair bit of cash then you have some left for tracking etc.
