Whilst I'm here I might as well ask. When I changed my engine oil yesterday I noticed the sump gasket had a thin lining of black oil/gunk, is that ok?

Like a stick in a bucket. I admit I have given my box a hard time but day-today I look after it. I like to drive smooth.
One question does changing gear quickly make much difference to wear as long as the clutch is perfectly smooth?

probably put more stress on the differential if bigger wheels are used.
