#1: Replacing a rear hub...... Author: GTI_89, Location: NewcastlePosted: Sun Sep 18, 2011 9:18 am ---- Hey guys.
well i stupidly cross threaded my rear hub last year while fitting multi fittment wheels i put the bolts through the wrong holes, DOHHH!!
the wheel is still secure and i check it every week just to make sure.
but im buggerd if i get a puncture or need to get the wheel off!
im wanting to know if its hard to change a rear hub? I would like to do it myself but not sure if it will be easier taking it to a garage instead...
i can do basic things with a car, service, brakes, exhaust fittment etc but i wouldnt have a clue how to do a clutch or timing belt.. just to give an example of how "skilled" i am or am not lol
has anyone done one before??
thanks guys

probably takes 10 to 15 mins of work.

might know someone who has though, what exactly is involved...? id imagine taking some bolts out then just pulling the old hub off?
im thinking a garage may be the best idea for me as i need to car everyday and if i balls it up im fooked!!

new hubs in, tighten up the nut, then put everything back on
