Anyone know what peugeot part numbers correspond to what circuitboard numbers? trying to find out which board i need for my 2005 206 as i lost my original fob and only have the non-remote key. i bought a used 73373067B but it doesn't seem to want to communicate with my car.

All i remember about the orignal fob is it had the number[30] stamped on one side of the board. I don't suppose anyone knows what board that would be?

Nope. Its a right pain the a**e. I bought an identical one number wise and cant get it to work. Its just a guessing game with the circuit boards,, Sad

Just go to a Peugeot main dealer with proof of ownership for the car, your photo id & purchase a new keyfob.

Where ever you get the fob from your going to need Peugeot Planet & the car's 4 digit alphanumeric security code to allow coding of the keys.

i have peugeot planet, and the 4 digit code, but cant justify the expense of a new key from peugeot so im looking at used.

i was aware i needed PP and code to program a new transponder chip but didnt think you needed it to introduce a new remote fob board.

yes i had heard that but we need to find out what part number corresponds to which board then everyone can find out what is the right board for their car.

Just enter your chassis number on servicebox and it will tell you which remote the car was supplied with and you can't fail to get the right one.

6554 YL - EXCEPT REMOTE CONTROL WITH IMPROVED RANGE ASSEMBLY EXCEPT FRONT FOG LIGHTS LABEL "T1" OR INSERT BLUE (£67.14)

6554 YQ - REMOTE CONTROL WITH IMPROVED RANGE ASSEMBLY EXCEPT FRONT FOG LIGHTS (£57.31)

6554 YR - FRONT FOG LIGHTS EXCEPT REMOTE CONTROL WITH IMPROVED RANGE ASSEMBLY
LABEL "T1B" OR INSERT GREEN (£67.15)

6554 YV - REMOTE CONTROL WITH IMPROVED RANGE ASSEMBLY AND FRONT FOG LIGHTS (£57.31)

My 2003 is the YQ, my 2006 is the YV. Anyone with a 2004, 2005 could possibly narrow it down to when the change to the improved range was.

The part numbers macca1411 posted are for a complete new remote keyfob including the key blade from Peugeot.

For what a NEW fob costs from Peugeot its a total no brainer not to buy a new one Wink

there's 6 206 remotes depending on year of car, if it has front fogs or not & also if it has alarm or not

1) 1999-01 no alarm discontinued
2) 1999-01 with alarm discontinued
3) 2002-05 with front fogs £47+vat
4) 2002-05 no front fogs £49+vat
5) 2005-07 with front fogs £37+vat
6) 2005-07 no front fogs £46+vat

I supply, cut & program keys for a living & i don't mess about with 2nd hand remotes. I get at least 10 calls per week from people that have tried to save money by buying a used remote off of ebay. Most of them buy the remote because it looks the same. The majority are VAG owners

Also all you need to test if a remote is sending is an RF/IR tester. Sealey do 1 for about £20-25

I take it that 5 and 6 on your list are the improved range fobs (6554YL & 6554YR). Handy to know when the change over occurred. Good info. Thumb Up

I would suggest you write something up as a sticky thread, but people on here will still ask the same questions, so not really worth the time or effort.

numbers 5 & 6 have part numbers 6554YV & 6554YQ

I go through the same thing on every forum i'm on, which is a fair few. Tried to get a sticky set up with part numbers & as much info as possible but never got anywhere with it. Not tried on here though

Also yes, people will still ask the same questions! lol! Laughing

That doesn't make sense then. My 2003 1.4 has the part number 6554YQ and the 2006 1.4 is 6554YV.
