Never been the best with cars but had a go at removing and swapping my bumper yesterday and got really p**sed off with it, never managed to get it off as couldnt get to the bot/nut or whatever was under the wheel arch.
Whats the best way of getting to it and actually getting the bumper off?

Thanks

Buying new nuts and bolts is a good place to start. With some copper grease.

Don't they look nice?

get your angryyy on and kick the s**t out of it

if you want it in one piece, undo all the bolts and replace the 2 side ones with proper bolts and big washers, i used wingnuts on mine

It's often easier to access the nuts from above with the headlights removed.

Bumper comes out easy enough with the headlamps still in place.

Small mole grips & torx bit to start the bolt under headlamp, then fingers to spin it out.

just done mine, work bottom up. use a fork on the arch liner clips, and undo all the bottom screws, arch liners done. take the headlights off and rest them on the engine i found easiest, and make sure you have summat soft underneath to catch it. if your having trouble chances are you've missed a bolt/screw, just follow the edges of the bumper and you should find the little sob.

Easier to not remove the headlamps as it screws up the beam alignment Laughing

Most mot place will re-align them for free, so it's not really the end of the world

And how is it easier not to remove the headlights?

Unless the nut is seized on the bumper bolt.

The nut seems to just turn and turn

If you can, and its been undone a little

Pull the bumper towards you (to the side), that is with all the other bolts undone

It may break, mine didnt, but be warned

Then get a hack saw or molegrips

There is a square plate that is ment to be held in place but 2 plastic lips on the bumper. They always spin because it gets seized and when you spin it it just turns in the plastic.

I done what Adam said. It works but it's not easy as you have to undo it enough to drop the plastic lugs from the wing.
