#1: ARRAN's Quiksilver - UPDATE with pictures 22/6 Author: ARRAN, Location: WiltshirePosted: Tue Sep 20, 2011 5:17 am ---- Right, I'm going to try and keep this short and sweet. Basically, I'm Arran and this is my 206.
EXTERIOR
- 16" nimrods
- Debadged
- Tinted windows
- Colour coded sport bumpers
- Pearl black morettes with 8000k HID's
- Sport mesh bumper and bonnet grille
- Genuine Peugeot stubby aerial
- Rear M3 style LED lights
- Rear wiper deleted
- Aeroblade wipers
- Private plate, pressed metal
- Peugeot 207 front splitter
- Team Heko wind deflectors
- Rear drums sprayed black
- Crystal side repeaters with Silvatec bulbs
ENGINE
- K&N 57i Induction kit
- Powerflow stainless steel centre section and backbox custom made (no centre silencer)
- Raceland 4-2-1 stainless steel manifold, decat
INTERIOR
- Full GTi180 interior inc. front seats, rear bench, front and rear doorcards and glovebox
- Black suede A, B Pillars and roof lining
- Wrapped black vinyl interior light to match roof and pillars
CHASSIS
- Lowered approx. 90mm on Pro Sport coilovers with helpers removed
- Rear torsion bar approx. 100mm to match
AUDIO
- Custom fiberglass install ported, colour coded to car
- 2 x 450W Fusion subs
- JBL 270W Components (up front)
- 1 x 900W Fusion amp (running subs)
- 1 x 450W Fusion amp (running comps.)
Heres how I bought it:
First of all, I sprayed the badge red and black:
Next, I dewipered it and had a stainless steel powerflow exhaust fitted:
Also, went to Trax and bought a few stickers for the back window, not everyones cuppa tea but I like them
Next I bought a set of angel eyes:
Finally, I had my windows tinted:
Next on this list is to spray my phase 2 boot strip which arrived today, buy a GTi front bumper, looks for some new alloys and finish having it lowered! (Coilovers and rear dampers are fitted, just torsion bar to be adjusted.)
Any ideas are greatly appreciated! Thanks for looking.

#2: Re: ARRAN's Quiksilver - Progress Blog Author: jimjam19927, Location: PortsmouthPosted: Tue Sep 20, 2011 5:28 am ---- mine came with sport bumpers but wernt colour coded :/
#3: Re: ARRAN's Quiksilver - Progress Blog Author: ARRAN, Location: WiltshirePosted: Tue Sep 20, 2011 5:31 am ---- The person who had mine before obviously had a bump, and just put a cheap front bumper on. Its got a sport rear bumper, just a normal front one haha. And someone has colour coded mine themselves, as you can see the paint flaking in some places.
#4: Re: ARRAN's Quiksilver - Progress Blog Author: jimjam19927, Location: PortsmouthPosted: Tue Sep 20, 2011 6:37 am ---- mine dint come with nimmies either! or a spoiler

#8: Re: ARRAN's Quiksilver - Progress Blog Author: Harry, Location: StaffordPosted: Sun Sep 25, 2011 3:08 am ---- Bit too low at the back mate compared to the front in my opinion. Looks good though reminds me of my old 1.4, kind of miss it a bit
#9: Re: ARRAN's Quiksilver - Progress Blog Author: ARRAN, Location: WiltshirePosted: Sun Sep 25, 2011 3:11 am ---- yeah i know what you mean mate, it sits real nice in the flesh, but i may have it brought up a bit on the back, not sure yet lol.
#10: Re: ARRAN's Quiksilver - Progress Blog Author: Davezilla, Location: Milton KeynesPosted: Sun Sep 25, 2011 10:10 am ---- nice car looks to low at the back though
#11: Re: ARRAN's Quiksilver - Progress Blog Author: kingsway2468, Location: swanseaPosted: Sun Sep 25, 2011 10:30 am ---- i think it looks ace on the back need to lower front bit more nice tho
#12: Re: ARRAN's Quiksilver - Progress Blog Author: ARRAN, Location: WiltshirePosted: Sun Sep 25, 2011 4:45 pm ---- it won't go any lower on the front :(:(
#13: Re: ARRAN's Quiksilver - Progress Blog Author: ARRAN, Location: WiltshirePosted: Thu Dec 22, 2011 11:00 am ---- Haven't updated this in a while, so here goes. Car looks sh*te in that picture of it lowered, as that was literally 5 minutes after it had been done coilovers have settled a bit more, however still needs to go looooower on the front here are some more pictures
After being made redundant back in September, not alot has been updated really! GTi front bumper should be here after Christmas, as should the bootbuild. And front speakers have been amped. Thats about all I can think of! Cheers for looking
EDIT: I know the wing is the wrong colour. and also, pressed plates are on order
#14: Re: ARRAN's Quiksilver - Progress Blog Author: Addaz, Location: SuffolkPosted: Thu Dec 22, 2011 1:10 pm ---- Looks smexy in the last photo, but needs a bigger drop on the front
Also how are the rear axle bearings? Did you have them replaced?
#15: Re: ARRAN's Quiksilver - Progress Blog Author: ARRAN, Location: WiltshirePosted: Thu Dec 22, 2011 4:42 pm ---- DEFINITELY needs dropping more on the front!
Nope haha, why? Feel okay to me, nothing was wrong when it was done

Just wondering as a drop like that will rape them quite quickly, they are really simple to do if you did the drop the torsion bar method mate
#17: Re: ARRAN's Quiksilver - Progress Blog Author: ARRAN, Location: WiltshirePosted: Fri Feb 10, 2012 4:18 pm ---- Haven't updated this in a while so here goes.
BIG thanks to Addaz for selling me his bootbuild. If anyone is going to buy anything from him I recommend him as a seller, kept in contact with me and delivery was second to none. So big thanks to him
Here are the pictures of his old install in my car
And heres how she sits now:
Not a lot has changed recently, apart from I've sprayed the interior A, B and C pillars black. Due to having a lack of job and funds, it'll be staying like this til I find something However the list keeps getting bigger and more expensive, which is rather depressing.
#18: Re: ARRAN's Quiksilver - Progress Blog Author: ARRAN, Location: WiltshirePosted: Fri Feb 10, 2012 4:25 pm ---- Found a couple more pictures, with my tweeters in and my black pillars, and another "posing" shot with my pressed plates.
#19: Re: ARRAN's Quiksilver - Progress Blog Author: ARRAN, Location: WiltshirePosted: Tue Apr 10, 2012 10:09 am ---- Bit of progress, finally got myself a job so am able to buy a few nice things for the car Heres latest picture; team Heko wind deflectors, rear M3 style lights, and a good clean also, a badgeless front grille which cannot be seen.
Unfortunately my gearbox went last night, so no progress until thats sorted
#20: Re: ARRAN's Quiksilver - Progress Blog Author: LiamGTi180, Location: OxfordPosted: Tue Apr 10, 2012 10:40 am ---- Loving the car mate. Looks good, sorry to hear about the gearbox. Rear M3 lights FTW got them on mine really suit the 206

Hopefully going to remove helpers before FCS, and next on the list is finding a new set of wheels, unsure of what yet.

#29: Re: ARRAN's Quiksilver - Progress Blog Author: ARRAN, Location: WiltshirePosted: Sun Aug 12, 2012 12:14 pm ---- Not many updates lately, running out of ideas! (and funds!)
Bought a 421 manifold, car is now decatted, sounds nice and raspy and few cheeky little pops! Will get a picture up soon. Also bought some JBL components and all new 12awg speaker wiring, which sounds awesome!!
Want a BMC carbon induction kit next, and a Samco hose kit, and some new wheels. Thinking saving hard for some Schmidt Modern Lines and some 195/45/16 slightly stretched over 7.5J, and having back arch lips rolled for some stance.. Any other ideas?
