#1: Time for a Service Author: peterwere, Location: EnglandPosted: Thu Sep 22, 2011 3:55 pm ---- Hello Everyone,
I have a Peugeot 206 1.4 53 Reg and it needs its service which I'd like to do myself. I have serviced other cars over the years but never a Peugeot. What brands do people here recommend when it comes to air/oil filters, spark plugs, etc? I was looking at Bosch Super 4 and Bosch Super Plus, which is the better choice and why? Regarding oil/air filters, is it worth spending a lot of money or will cheap ones do a good job?
BTW, I have just bought the car a couple of months ago and I'm not sure when it had its last service or what was done to it.
Regarding oil, given the age of the engine, should I stick with good quality 10W40 mineral or would semi-synthetic be better?
I would appreciate any suggestions/recommendations. Thanks.

Decided to go for Bosch Super 4 spark plugs (£13 off Ebay seems good to me). Still undecided whether I should spend £30 on a K&N air filter or whether I should get a MANN Air Filter for about £7.

Probably about 3 years or so. One other thing, do you think I should change the fuel filter too?
